I watched this and it made me cry as I thought about the life of a black man and the threats against his life. Brandon Leake is an African American Christian street poet and inner-city youth minister whose heart-wrenching poetry has taken him to the finals of this year’s America’s Got Talent. His free verse piece was so very apropos of what I am writing about, especially from a POV as a young black Christian son and father, I wish every American youth—and white Christian—could hear it.
